Central Idea

Preservation of cultural heritage in fashion can impact the future generations.

We identified the following problems that we hope to solve.

Personal:
We have realized that our understanding of Ghanaian heritage is quite limited. Additionally, we have observed that there are no designated places to properly dispose of our old clothes. Can we truly deepen our knowledge of our heritage through fashion?
Local:
We have noticed that there is a lack of documented information about our heritage. At the same time, scraps and old clothing are often discarded improperly, contributing to environmental harm.
Global:
The rapid increase in pollution worldwide is alarming. Fashion has become one of the fastest-growing industries, with trends spreading quickly. However, what truly leaves a lasting impact on the world? Can Ghana emerge as a leader in sustainable fashion?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global goals set by the UN to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.

Here are our actions which we intend to use to curtail the problems we have discovered.
