Eco-Logics
Central Idea
Innovations and waste management practices can promote circular economy for a sustainable world
Problem
We identified the following problems that we hope to solve.
Personal
I love doing art projects, but I always have old markers, dried-up glue sticks, and bits of paper that I do not know what to do with. I also use a lot of plastic, like water bottles and snack wrappers, but at home, we do not have a recycling bin, so I just throw them away. I have heard about recycling, but I do not really know how to do it or where to take the plastic bottles I pack. I want to be more sustainable, but I do not know any easy ways to recycle or manage my waste properly.
Local:
In my community, there is a noticeable lack of representation and opportunities for people of diverse cultural backgrounds, leading to feelings of exclusion
Global:
The world struggles with waste and resource depletion due to a linear economy where products are used and discarded. Plastic pollution and e-waste are rising, while many places lack proper recycling systems. Overproduction, overconsumption, and lack of awareness make waste management worse.
Action
Here are our actions which we intend to use to curtail the problems we have discovered.
