Problem

We identified the following problems that we hope to solve.

Personal
I unintentionally perpetuate biases to people from different cultural backgrounds, leading to stereotypes.
Local:
In my community, there is a noticeable lack of representation and opportunities for people of diverse cultural backgrounds, leading to feelings of exclusion
Global:
The Proliferation of social media has exacerbated the spread of hate speech to marginalized communities. Systemic inequalities and discriminatory policies continue to disadvantage people from diverse backgrounds, hence increasing poverty, inequality, and social injustice

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global goals set by the UN to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030.

Here are our actions which we intend to use to curtail the problems we have discovered.

Harmony Network Club
Establish a Harmony Network Club designed to foster an environment where students can learn about and appreciate diverse cultures. Develop a documentary that underscores the importance of cultural appreciation and understanding. Implement advocacy and educational campaigns, such as the celebration of International Mother Language Day and Independence Day, to highlight and promote the significance of various cultures within Ghana. Additionally, create a fictional book aimed at encouraging learners to take pride in their own cultural identities while steering clear of stereotypes. Finally, launch a dedicated website where the documentary and educational resources can be made available to enhance community awareness and engagement.
