Central Idea

Designing spaces that meet human needs while protecting the environment can ensure a sustainable future

Problem

We identified the following problems that we hope to solve.

  • Personal

    We have realised that many children are not informed about how their actions affect the environment. Without learning about things like recycling, saving energy, or protecting nature, they might waste resources or create more pollution without realizing it. This lack of awareness makes it harder for kids to make smart choices that help the planet, like using less plastic or saving water. Creating awareness about sustainable living helps them take better care of the Earth now and in the future.

  • Local:

    In many communities in Ghana, waste management is a problem because not everyone recycles or disposes of trash properly. Sometimes, there aren’t enough recycling bins, composting programs, or waste collection services. This leads to more garbage ending up in landfills or polluting nature. Poor waste management can harm local wildlife, create pollution, and make the community less healthy and clean. Solving this problem helps communities live more sustainably and protect the environment.

  • Global:

    Human activities like burning fossil fuels and deforestation are releasing greenhouse gases that trap heat in the atmosphere, causing global temperatures to rise. This warming leads to melting ice caps, rising sea levels, extreme weather, and harm to ecosystems, wildlife, and human well-being. Immediate action is needed to reduce emissions and protect the planet.
